COP21 United Nations Conference on Climate ChangeFrom November 30 to December 11, governments will convene in Paris for the 21stConference of the Parties (COP21) to agree on a new global climate change agreement. A universal agreement that covers all countries, developed and developing, the COP21 climate deal will serve as the starting point for a long-term effort to stop global temperatures from rising more than 2°C (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit).
25 February 2015: Regional Dialogue on LGBTIThe attainment of human rights requires engagement and empowerment of vulnerable communities to enable them to develop awareness and capacity and to avail of the right opportunities. In this light, UNDP with support from the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok, USAID and other partners is convening the ‘Regional Dialogue on LGBTI Rights and Health in the Asia-Pacific. The dialogue will take place in Bangkok on 25-27 February 2015 at the United Nations Conference Centre.
17-19 November 2014: Women's Participation in Local GovernanceThe workshop presented a good balance of plenary sessions and working group discussions, to come up with recommendations on good practices and set of activities that can contribute to greater women’s leadership and participation in improving local governance in the region.

17-19 August 2014: Indian Ocean Rim Dialogue: Paths to Women’s Economic EmpowermentParticipants from all 20 Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) countries across Africa, South and East Asia and the Middle-East called for greater investment in women’s productivity and implementation of gender responsive policy frameworks a the three-day dialogue titled Paths to Women’s Economic Empowerment in IORA Countries, with a focus on tourisms and textiles in Kuala Lumpur, 17-19 August, 2014
12-13 June 2014: Regional Dialogue on Transparency, Accountability and Voices against CorruptionThe Regional Dialogue on "Transparency, Accountability and Voices against Corruption will bring together over 70 participants from 27 countries in Bangkok on 12-13 June. The event will attract representatives from UNDP country offices in Asia-Pacific and headquarters, delegates from national anti-corruption agencies, as well as representatives from non-government organizations and development partners.
