COP21 United Nations Conference on Climate ChangeFrom November 30 to December 11, governments will convene in Paris for the 21stConference of the Parties (COP21) to agree on a new global climate change agreement. A universal agreement that covers all countries, developed and developing, the COP21 climate deal will serve as the starting point for a long-term effort to stop global temperatures from rising more than 2°C (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit).

25 February 2015: Regional Dialogue on LGBTIThe attainment of human rights requires engagement and empowerment of vulnerable communities to enable them to develop awareness and capacity and to avail of the right opportunities. In this light, UNDP with support from the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok, USAID and other partners is convening the ‘Regional Dialogue on LGBTI Rights and Health in the Asia-Pacific. The dialogue will take place in Bangkok on 25-27 February 2015 at the United Nations Conference Centre.

14-15 October 2014: Asia Urban Futures WorkshopIn 2014, the United Nations Development Programme together with USAID United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and United Nations Global Pulse, will be hosting the Asia Urban Futures Workshop to bring the science and technology sectors together with the development community in a novel way to discuss the rising challenges and opportunities facing Asia as the result of rapid urbanization and climate change.
